Week 10 New Games and Caramel Apples
When the Math Lesson tells you to work on 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8 by cutting up apples and comparing tastes for a graph...you almost have to turn it into a Caramel Apple Party-especially if it is a fantastic, fall, fun Friday! After receiving several compliments on their good behavior the last few weeks, they earned their Extra Recess afternoon!! Enjoy their beautiful Mass singing. We learned an addition game this week called Making Ten-they have to lay cards on top of each other that will add up to 10. They were fantastic researchers as we began our large Habitat Project! They picked a habitat, researched its weather, landforms. plants, and animals and then will be using their research to create a small diorama in class. After working hard on a narrative writing project, we did a little puffy paint crafting to help illustrate our fabulous fall stories! More from extra recess.... Day 1: Yay!!! We're here!
What a wonderful first day! They were so incredibly polite, were amazing listeners, and already hardcore roasted me-I can tell it is going to be a fun group! They kindly obliged me by taking classroom first day photos even though they already took chalkboard sign photos at home:) Everyone was very excited when we finally made it to lunch...they were getting a little tired of going over procedures but they handled the boredom well! Recess finally!!! Getting the run down on general school expectations from Mr. Veit... Learning how to use our morning tubs :) Playdough was a great way to start the day! All ready for church tomorrow! Walking feet, safe hands, eyes looking and ears listening-line up pros, ready to go! After all the boring procedure stuff, we have to have a brain break! All my ducklings in a row...for now lol Cheers to getting our Jitters out with our Jitter Juice!
