Week 3 Practice Makes Perfect

Whew! What a week! We had a lot of indoor recesses because of the heat, we did a lot of math practice with pattern blocks and addition facts. We also got to act out some word problems, had our first Praise Assembly, our first Counseling lesson with Mrs. Garner, and had a rhyming Punting Contest! Assessment wise...we completed our first math test and spelling test, they have definitely been studying because they did very well on both of them!

Doing our Morning "Would You Rather?!"

Acting out "Some, some more" Word Problems

Getting outdoors for Science this week, they had to identify Living and Nonliving things in the Prayer Garden.

We had our First In Class Lost Tooth!! Congrats Henry...and everyone who encouraged him along the way (seriously, the whole class wanted to be cheerleaders that day:)

Getting crafty at indoor recess!

We learned that Wednesday has a silly nickname...and of course had to watch the Gieco commercial because Ms. Massman is so old that when she was trying to explain it to them they had no clue what I was talking about....

Mass Day!

Working with Pattern Blocks, practice, practice, practice!

We had our first tornado drill, they did an excellent job listening!

Counseling Lesson with Mrs. Garner

And finally our Funday Friday Punt Contest to Practice Rhyming! They were highly impressed with my punting skills...or they just thought it was awesome how far my shoe flew :)
